Rare Sight in South Louisiana

WOW! What a way to be awakend for school. Mom comes into our room screaming get up get up, it's snowing outside!
How awesome is this ???
Now stop taking pictures so we can play!

You can't have this much snow and not make snow angels.

Ryan's snow angel.

Snow angels made by angels!

Can you believe they made us go to school with all of this snow around to play in?

This was our first attempt at making a snowman.
Something just isn't right. Hmm...
(Don't laugh too hard, remember this is south Louisiana. We're not exactly what you would call experts at this!)

2nd attempt (are you still laughing at us?)

They always say, "3rd times a charm". Not too shabby...
We finally figured out how to make a real snowman.
FYI...You have to "roll" the snow, not try to pat it together.
This was actually taken right after school and as you can see the snow had already disappeared. Except for our weary snowman whose head is hanging on my an icicle.

Sonic Children's Christmas Parade, Lafayette, LA

This is a little hard to see, but these were the queens who rode on the trolley for the Children's parade. It was a little chillier than we thought, but the sun came out and made it a beautiful day!

This is my friend and coworker, Stasia Herbert-McZeal with her daughter, Macaiah.
It was a beautiful day for a parade!

Throwing buddies!

Renaissance Festival

Here is the group of 6th grade boys that I was in charge of. As you can tell, we were prepared for rain. And boy did we get lots of rain during the day.
Mr. Strong Man!!!

We had a chance to see a real jousting event!
(well maybe not totally real, I mean no one died or anything, just knocked off their horses)

We knew we couldn't escape the rain all day.
Logan wasn't too thrilled about having to take a picture even in the rain!

We actually still had some fun once the rain stopped.
